About the webinar
This webinar will focus on factors that make research more visible and influential and provide insights on choosing legitimate publication channels that are indexed in quality-reviewed databases. It will also cover topics such as to be top of the search engine, visibility in academic social networks, compliance with open access policies, ethical standards in conducting and reporting research and authorship, recognition for peer review activities, etc. Furthermore, research data management, avoiding questionable journals and conferences will also be discussed. It will give insight on developing a publication strategy for an individual or a research department in the era of open access and social media.
Resource person
Dr. Jakaria Rahman is engaged as Bibliometric Analyst at the Department of Communication and Learning in Science at Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden). He works on analyzing publications’ impact and research collaborations, developing publication strategies and policies with university management and contributes to the university ranking analytics. His research interest includes bibliometrics, research evaluation, scholarly communication and open science among others. He is involved in several ongoing research projects. He has published several research articles in Web of Science and Scopus indexed journals, and the preprints are available here. In addition, he works as a peer reviewer for six Web of Science and Scopus indexed journals. He is a life member of BALID , and LAB.
